Here are the KAZZ Engineering E36 Rear Subframe Bushings!
This product has been offered to fix your rear end.
About the material…
I am proud to say that this product is made in house (Brisbane, Australia) with our unique D60 Polyurethane material. This semi-rigid material has been proven to provide the best durability and performance for you BMW! The rigid material properties allow for superior steering response and alignment control while still being able to absorb noises and harshness’ – accomadating for both comfort and performance – this material is the perfect all rounder! We recommend this material for all road and track applications.
What to expect…
Unfortunetly the standard rubber bushings wear out and perish. This translates to a sloppy rear end and unpredicatable changes in your alignment during inevitable lateral forces (during cornerning, braking and acceleration). This issue is corrected when upgrading to our polyurethane bushings. The larger surface area and reduced movement inherent in our design will reduce the risk of the common issue of subframe mounting positions from cracking. Nevertheless, we offer our reinforcement kit at a discounted rate with the purchase of these bushings – simply select the YES option to add the discounted reinforcement plates!
About the design…
While developing this product – we chose to modify the geometry to compensate the harsh axle and suspension arm angles seen from lowered E36s. These shafts and arms articulate upwards when these cars are lowered which negatively impacts suspension geometry (relative to line force, roll centre, cog). To compensate for this, our bushings are raised. This helps towards neautralising these effects.
Install tips…
1) We strongly recommend all products are installed by a qualified mechanic.
2) Assuming you are replacing OEM rubber bushings – the hardest part of the install is removing the old bushings. The best way to remove the old bushings is with a press. Failing this; you can cut or burn the OEM bushing out.
3) The KAZZ Engineering bushings are unique and are designed to be designed easily without the need for any speciality tools. The geometry of the bushings feature a stepped diameter. This means you can easily push the first 20% of the bushing inside the housing. This allows you to easily get the bushing orientated and ‘in there’. At this point the diameter is increased for a tight interferance fit. You can now press the rest of the bushing into the housing and then fit onto your subframe.
