About the material…
This void free & fluid free mount eliminates the possibility of leakage and collapse, and has been proven to be a great upgrade in terms of durability and performance for 6 cylinder E36 and E46 cars!
What to expect…
This product avoids the short-comings inherent in the standard design. The standard engine mounts are a floating gel filled rubber design. This is great for isolating vibrations but comes at the expense of deflection when torque moves through the drivetrain – consequently allowing the motor to move and costing you power transfer efficiency. This soft design also makes the standard mounts susceptible to wearing out and perishing. This can be catastrophic as they are often seen to split in half upon failure; allowing the engine to be unsecured.
Install tips…
1) We strongly recommend all products are installed by a qualified mechanic.
2) Tighten the lower nuts to faster mounts to the subframe first and then locate the motor down.
3) All nuts to be torqued to 40Nm.
